October 20-26 is Ontario Public Library Week, which recognizes the important contribution public libraries make to education, literacy, and life-long learning. To celebrate Ontario Public Library Week, we look forward to giving back, celebrating, and supporting our community.
Throughout the month of October, we are running our second annual Food for Fines campaign. Donations to support the Milton Community Resource Centre's Infant Food Bank
will be accepted as payment of fines for overdue materials. Fines for lost and damaged items are not eligible for the Food for Fines program.
For each non-perishable food item, patrons are entitled to a waiver of $1 per item, to a maximum of $10 off their account. Or, patrons donating a package of Enfamil A+ powder formula OR a package of size 4-6 diapers are entitled to a maximum waiver of $10 off their account. Baby food and baby cereal are especially needed, but any non-perishable food items will be gratefully accepted. Items may be brought to either Main, Sherwood, or Beaty during opening hours. Thank you for your support!
