Join us for an engaging panel featuring Miltonians who have pursued their passions in various industries. They will share advice and anecdotes based on their own experiences that may help you with your own career decisions. We will explore the benefits, challenges and lessons of launching your own ideas and creating your own career opportunities. Our panelists include: 

 

Damion Orsi, Co-Founder, Orange Snail Brewers 


Damion is a professional mechanical engineer and project manager professional who now owns and operates Milton's first craft brewery (Orange Snail Brewers).  His love of craft beer came from travelling the world working on projects and enjoying the craft beer movement happening in many places including the USA.  He started home brewing over 15 years ago and in 2015 decided to open a brewery with his good friend, Kevin Greer who also lived in Milton in order to bring craft beer to the town of Milton.  In his 20 year career, he has worked as a senior project engineer, project manager, operations’ manager and product manager in many different industries.  He believes that a vital role that companies should perform is giving back to their communities by donating time and money to local charities and community organizations. 

 

Jeni Marinucci, Creative Director at Ehm & Co, Editor-in-Chief at YMC.ca, and a freelance writer


Jeni Marinucci is Creative Director at Ehm & Co, a digital publishing and marketing firm, Editor-in-Chief at YMC.ca, and a freelance writer. She has two children, both of whom people seem to like, so she's pretty much an expert at parenting, too. At 34 she returned to University to get her B.A. Hons in English Literature, a designation which has provided her with an extensive library and a crushing debt load. When no teaching college wanted her, she bought a red pen and put her editing skills to work. Her neighbours wish she would cut her lawn.

Kevin Samra, Manager, MEV Innovation Centre


Kevin Samra is an economic development specialist and entrepreneur ambassador for The Town of Milton, he is a highly experienced in topics including foreign direct investment (FDI), Business Retention and Expansion (BR+E),   and identifying strategic connections to develop and grow innovative businesses. As the Manager of the MEV Innovation Centre & Economic Development Strategist for The Town of Milton, Kevin works with his team to advise businesses on growth strategies, promote collaboration within the region, and educate community members and businesses on new technologies.
