The Celebrating Stories committee proudly presents.... Joel A. Sutherland!

Joel A. Sutherland is the Silver Birch Award-winning author of Be a Writing Superstar and Haunted Canada 4 to 7. His series, Haunted, including The House Next Door and Kill Screen, has been praised by Goosebumps author R.L. Stine. Joel’s short fiction has appeared in many anthologies and magazines, alongside the likes of Stephen King and Neil Gaiman. Most recently, he is known for his novel Summer’s End which has been nominated for the Red Maple 2018 award. Joel appeared as “The Barbarian Librarian” on the Canadian edition of the hit television show Wipeout, making it all the way to the third round and proving that librarians can be just as tough and crazy as anyone else.

Join “Canada’s answer to R.L.Stine,” author Joel A. Sutherland, to discuss all things horror. He’ll share true stories of paranormal activity from his bestselling Haunted Canada series, and will also give tips and advice to young writers interested in writing their own terrifying tales.

This presentation is full of spooky fun, and it’s just in time for Halloween. Best for children ages 9+ (with their caregivers). Don't forget to bring your own books for him to sign!

Register beginning Oct 5, to guarantee your spot. Remaining spots will be filled on a first come first served basis.
