The Celebrating Stories committee proudly presents.... Jess Keating!

Jess Keating is a zoologist-turned-author who writes with the sort of wisdom you can only get from multiple crocodile bites and skunk sprays. Her debut novel, “How to outrun a crocodile when your shoes are untied” released in 2014, with two sequels that followed. After that, she published a set of nonfiction picture books including “Pink is for Blobfish”.  Most recently, she is known for her picture book “Shark Lady” which has been nominated for the Blue Spruce 2018 award.

During this presentation, Jess will share her book “Shark Lady” with the children, and discuss what it takes to be a real life shark scientist. In this visit, children will learn that anyone can be a scientist, and work together to be shark scientists –on the spot! – and see what they can discover about some amazing sharks! (No sharks needed!)

This presentation is jam-packed with inspiring messages, science, and an extremely fun, interactive approach to the science of sharks. It is tailored to K-4 students (with their caregivers).

Join us for this highly entertaining and informative presentation with Jess! Don't forget to bring your own books for her to sign!

Register beginning May 18, to guarantee your spot. Remaining spots will be filled on a first come first served basis.

***advance tickets for "Big Nate, The Musical" will be available to interested attendees"
